Eligibility of Candidates
In order to be considered an eligible candidate you need to:
- Have a standard of English which would enable you to teach at all CEFR levels A1-C2
- Have academic writing skills required for postgraduate studies
- Have passed a practically-oriented ELT methodology course with observed and assessed teaching practice
- Have taken or are prepared to take DELTA Module 1.
WE RECOMMEND MODULE ONE RUN ON-LINE BY BELL INTERNATIONAL
- Have at least two years full time (min. 1200 hours) teaching experience with different levels and course types
Course Content and Structure
Week one:
Professional Development Assignment (internally assessed)
Part 1: Reflection and Action (2000-2500 words) and Part 2: Experimental Practice (2000-2500 words)
Week two:
Practical Teaching Assignment PTA 1 - Theoretical background, planning, conducting and evaluating a skills/systems lesson (internally assessed)
Part 1: Background essay (2000-2500 words)
Part 2: Lesson procedure related to the researched theoretical area
Week three:
Practical Teaching Assignment PTA 1 - Theoretical background, planning, conducting and evaluating a skills/systems lesson (internally assessed)
Part 1: Background essay (2000-2500 words)
Part 2: Lesson procedure related to the researched theoretical area
Week four:
PTA 2 - Theoretical background, planning, conducting and evaluating a skills/systems lesson (internally assessed)
Part 1: Background essay (2000-2500 words)
Part 2: Lesson procedure related to the researched theoretical area
Week five:
PTA 3 - Theoretical background, planning, conducting and evaluating a skills/systems lesson (internally assessed)
Part 1: Background essay (2000-2500 words)

Week six:
PTA 4 - Theoretical background, planning, conducting and evaluating a skills/systems lesson (EXTERNALLY assessed)
