Courses for adults
For adults over the age of 19, AVO-Bell offers a series of courses with varying duration and intensity.
Starting dates: 1 October 2007, 09 February 2008
The course fee of 339* BGN includes:
- Advice and support from AVO-Bell staff
- AVO-Bell placement test
- Regular assessment
- 85 academic hours of 40 minutes
- Coursebook bag
- Use of AVO-Bell Multimedia Centre including free internet
- Weekly consultation hours with native speaking teachers
- End of course certificate
Tuition prices do not include:
- Coursebooks
- Exam entrance fees
Classes are kept maximum number of students - 12
General English – Intensive one and a half month or four month courses. Six levels are offered, from beginner to advanced. Courses focus on all four main skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening.
English for Communication – Two four month modules geared towards people who would like to overcome the language barrier and would like plenty of opportunity to practise and improve their spoken English. These courses are team taught by a Bulgarian teacher as well as a native speaker.
Business English – Two four month modules. Gain the essenial tools to communicate effectively in a business environment.
Summer Courses
Intensive summer courses were created to meet the high expectations of our most ambitious students. They offer an opportunity for students to quickly learn the language at attractive prices.
The courses are one month or one and a half long depending on the level. You can choose the most convenient month for your programme – from June to August. The intensity of the courses is moderate – you will still have Saturday and Sunday free.
The summer programme is especially convenient for high school and university students. These courses improve their level more quickly, reduce the stress during the school year, and are very effective in that they allow the students to concentrate solely on studying the language.

*Discounts between 30 and 50 leva are available for the mornig, semi-intensive and summer intensive courses.
Teaching Methods
The courses are taught by qualified teachers based upon specialized curricula designed for adults. English levels are assessed by AVO-Bell upon completion of an entry exam and consultation.
The classes are designed to foster active participation by the students thereby allowing them to practically apply their new knowledge and skills among their peers. The goal is to develop conversation, comprehension, writing, and reading skills in a balanced manner. Original video and audio materials are used.
